LONDON: In a significant milestone, former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif has disclosed the day on which his senior brother, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif, will return to Pakistan in order to oversee the party's electoral campaign there in advance of the forthcoming elections.

Shehbaz stated  on Tuesday that Nawaz Sharif would arrive in Pakistan on October 21.

The declaration was made following a meeting with Nawaz's top PML-N officials in London.

Nawaz was permanently banned in 2017 by the Supreme Court for failing to declare a payable salary. He has been living in self-imposed exile in London since November 2019 due to health concerns.
