Apple officially debuted the basic iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, as well as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, during its significant launch event.

The non-Pro versions also have some noteworthy features, even though the Pro models are drawing a lot of attention for introducing novel capabilities never before seen in Apple's mobile lineup.

Even while Apple refused to acknowledge it, the USB C port—which was required by an EU mandate—is the largest difference here. The Dynamic Island from the Pro models of the previous year has also been ported over to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.

As usual, the only distinction between the standard and Plus models is the size of the screens (6.1′′ vs. 6.7′′) and the battery life (to be revealed). The new panels, according to Apple, offer peak outdoor brightness levels of up to 2000 nits, which is twice as high as previously. The aluminum frame of the screens is curved and has a matte appearance.

To preserve a noticeable separation between its Pro and non-Pro models, Apple has supplied the handsets with the A16 Bionic chipset from the previous year. RAM quantity is unknown, as usual, but storage options range from 128 GB to 512 GB.

Although it is smaller than what the iPhone 15 Pros offer and even smaller than the one found in the iPhone 14 Pro models from the previous year, the main camera this time around has a 48MP sensor. Even without a telephoto lens, Apple claims it can still take "optical-quality" 2x telephoto pictures, although that function is still only available on the Pro models. It's interesting that 24MP is the default resolution.

In addition to being available in 14 nations presently, mergency SOS via satellite will shortly be made available in Switzerland and Spain later this month. Additionally, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus now include satellite-based Roadside Assistance, which was first made accessible in the US through AAA.

Starting at $799 for the iPhone 15 and $899 for the iPhone 15 Plus, respectively. There is 128 GB of storage on both variants. The devices are scheduled for delivery on September 22, and pre-orders will start on September 15 (this Friday). These phones will be available in a variety of eye-catching hues, such as pink, yellow, green, blue, and black.
