JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah injured in Mastung blast
MASTUNG: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah on Thursday sustained injuries in a blast that took place in Mastung, Balochistan. According to initial reports, the blast took place near a vehicle which injured Hamdullah and several others. Police rushed to the site of the incident and cordoned off the area.
Mustang Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq Sasoli said several people were injured in the Mustang blast and added that the three injured including the JUI-F leader had been shifted to a hospital in Quetta.
The JUI-F leader received preliminary medical attention in Mastung, according to the official, before being transferred to the province capital for more care.
He declared that there is no danger to the JUI-F leader's health.
Aslam Ghauri, a spokeswoman for the JUI-F, stated that although Hamdullah had injuries, his condition was not life-threatening.
"He wasn't seriously hurt, either. Two of Hamdullah's party members and one of his gunmen have also been hurt, but their conditions are stable, he continued.
Ghauri claimed that Hamdullah was attacked while en route from Quetta to Kalat.
He also admitted not knowing what kind of explosion it was.
The 11 injured were sent to Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital in Mastung, according to a health department spokeswoman.
The representative continued,One of the individuals is seriously ill.
According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Mustang, the blast injured 11, including Hamdullah.
The senior police official continued, "We are trying to determine the nature of the Mustang explosion."
Angry comments flood in Capt (retd) Muhammad Zubair Jamali, the acting home minister for Balochistan, denounced the occurrence and requested that the relevant authorities provide a report on the explosion.
Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), denounced the explosion and wished the injured people a speedy recovery. "Terrorists and their facilitators should be brought to justice," he continued.
