Moon not seen in Rabi ul Awal; Eid Milad un Nabi to fall on September 29 in Pakistan | welivego News
WeLiveGo reports that Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) will be observed nationwide on September 29 because the crescent signaling the beginning of Rabi ul Awal for the Islamic year 1445AH was not spotted on Saturday.
The declaration was made following a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, in Islamabad.
Central and zonal committee members attended the meeting.
Various accounts of moon sightings from across the nation were evaluated by the committee.
The committee unanimously decided that the month of Rabi ul Awal will begin on September 18 (Monday) after receiving no reports of moon sightings from any region of the nation, according to Maulana Azad, who held a press conference following the meeting.
Due to the decision, Eid Milad un Nabi, which is observed on the 12th day of the Islamic lunar calendar, will fall on September 29.
Eid Milad un Nabi is a religious holiday that is enthusiastically observed nationwide on the 12th of Rabi ul Awal. Public processions, gatherings, and seminars that focus on the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are held to commemorate the day.
In a previous statement, the head of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee refuted rumors that the Rabi ul Awal moon had been sighted and made it clear that no reports of moon sightings had come in from any regions of the nation.
